farmhouse buffet

Old Farmhouse Buffet

When I originally bought this table it was almost 4 feet tall, so I had my wonderful handy husband cut about 6in. off the legs still keeping it tall but more usable. I wanted to leave alot of the original wood because it was already such a unique and beautiful piece. But I wanted to age it a bit and add a little paint for character. I chose to make a custom color mixing antique white barn board brown and dirty green. After about 8 hrs. I can back and using my hand sander "roughed it up a bit" giving it a worn, distressed aged look. Then I took my dark wood stain and applied it all over let it soak in a bit and then whipped it all down to have my finished farmhouse style buffet.
